Sea Dogs Player Education Program
Importance of Education
The Sea Dogs Foundation was established primarily with a mandate to provide education packages for all the Sea Dogs hockey players. The Foundation provide funds for scholarships for post secondary education including university and community college for former players that have not gone on to play professional hockey. For all current players, the Foundation pays for all in-season educational courses and necessary textbooks. All players are required to take 2 courses each term, during the school year. Since our inception, the Sea Dogs Foundation has supported hundreds of players and paid out more than $1 Million in education expenses.
