The Big 50/50

All year long you can win and help the community at the same time. A group of charities and non-profit organizations from greater Saint John were brought together to participate in a community 50/50 fundraising initiative. We all feel it is important to work together to help better our community.Winners have already collected close to a quarter of a million dollars. Buy a ticket for as low as $2 a week and if your number is drawn, you win the pot. If your number is drawn but you haven’t purchased a ticket that week, the pot is rolled over for the next draw. Chuck a Puck

How good is your aim? With the support of the Saint John Firefighters Union purchase a puck and see if you can hit the center ice face off circle during the 2nd intermission of our home games. Great fun for  kids and adults alike. Proceeds are donated to the Burn Unit at the Saint John Regional Hospital.

Pink in the Rink

In support of the Canadian Cancer Society, we raffle off players jerseys at a game early in the season. Take home a memento from your favorite Sea Dog player. We will also auction off additional items like goalie masks. We are supported by the Breast Ahoy Dragon boat Team.

Empty Stocking Fund

The Empty Stocking Fund started in 1912 when reporter Harry (Dutch) Irvin with the Saint John Evening Standard noticed 2 poor children looking in a department store window just a few days before Christmas. He returned to the newsroom and passed the hat, collecting $30 for needy children. It has become a Holiday Tradition in Saint John, raising millions of dollars for less fortunate families at Christmas.

Alumni Events

Past stars have come back to Saint John to thank the fans who supported them over the years. We have held alumni hockey games and golf tournaments. There will be more events in the future, stay tuned!

Sea Dogs Open Water Swim Race

Serious and recreational swimmers take to the water each summer in Saint John in this swim race. The event started in 2015 at the Renforth Wharf but has moved to the Little River Reservoir. Up to 100 swimmers take part and receive national scoring points in the process.

Top Corner Hockey

A strong and healthy community means having strong and healthy youth within it. Top Corner is a “grass roots” hockey program that bases its fundamentals on that very principle. Top Corner offers youth the ability to improve both their phyiscial and mental health. Through hockey, Top Corner gives these kids the tools needed to bolster their confidence and to learn self-respect. In the end, a champion with a strong self-esteem and self-worth emerges.
